Casey Chen
Casey is a passionate and dedicated violinist who learnt under the guidance of professor Fox Chan at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, before continuing her studies with Dr Evgeny Sorkin in the prestigious Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium. Under his tutelage, Casey achieved her Licentiate in Music (LMusA) in 2023.
Casey pursued further studies with Janet Davies and Elizabeth Powell, both esteemed violinists at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the Rising Star Program. She is an alumna of North Sydney Girls High School, where she excelled in her musical studies, achieving full marks in both HSC Music 2 and Music Extension. She has also won numerous awards at Australian Eisteddfods, including the St George, Ryde, and Sydney Eisteddfods.
As a teacher, Casey is known for her patience, warmth, and ability to support young musicians. She strives to inspire and guide students on their musical journeys, focusing on both technical proficiency and expressive musicianship. Her teaching philosophy balances technical discipline with a fulfilling and enjoyable learning experience, ensuring that students build a strong foundation while deepening their appreciation for music.
